Florida Bankruptcy Districts
For individual filings, the location to file your Bankruptcy Petition, Schedules A-J, declaration, statements, mailing matrix on paper, and mailing matrix on diskette or compact disc is contingent upon the county in which you reside and are domiciled. One way to find this information is to go to US Bankruptcy Court Middle District of Florida site.
Each division's hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., except legal holidays. According to the website, the division in which you file is listed below:
Fort Myers Division: United States Courthouse and Federal Building, 2110 First Street, Fort Myers, Florida 33901. Covers Charlotte, Collier, De Soto, Glades, Hendry and Lee counties.
Special Note: There is no Clerk's Office at this location. Records are maintained in the Tampa Division. Correspondence sent by mail must be sent to the Tampa Division.
Jacksonville Division: Bryan Simpson United States Courthouse, 300 North Hogan Street, Suite 3-350, Jacksonville, Florida 32202. Covers Baker, Bradford, Citrus, Clay, Columbia, Duval, Flagler, Hamilton, Marion, Nassau, Putnam, St. Johns, Sumter, Suwannee, and Union counties.
Orlando Division: George C. Young Federal Courthouse, 400 W. Washington Street, Suite 5100, Orlando, FL 32801. Covers Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Volusia counties.
Tampa Division: Sam M. Gibbons United States Courthouse, 801 N. Florida Avenue, Suite 555, Tampa, Florida 33602. Covers Hardee, Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasoto counties.

Depending on the difficulty of your Bankruptcy and the Chapter you file under, the Bankruptcy Petition Preparer may prepare your package at your initial appointment or within 24 hours of your appointment. Due to the sensitivity of the information in Bankruptcy documents, we offer the debtor the option of virtual preparation or meeting a Bankruptcy Petition Preparer in-person.
